PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ―People throughout the Delaware Valley are honoring our nation's veterans and the sacrifice they and their families make.

Senator Arlen Specter joined Mayor Nutter at the Korean War Memorial at Front and Dock Streets to announce a $5 million donation to treatment products for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Philadelphia-area based Prescription Audio and Mental Health America is making the generous donation.

Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice Seamus McCaffery will be the keynote speaker at the Philadelphia Vietnam Memorial at Front and Spruce. Governor Rendell and Mayor Nutter are expected to talk at the event as well.

Veterans Day observances at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial (PVVM) will celebrate the completion of phase one of the memorial's restoration, funded by PVVM's "Duty to Remember Campaign".

The National Constitution Center held myriad of events to honor our nation's veterans.

Guests will have an opportunity to view the Lost Heroes Art Quilt, a moving tribute to the American soldiers who have given their lives in Iraq and Afghanistan; listen to Letters Home: Soldiers' Voices through American History, a dramatic reading of letters written by soldiers from the Revolutionary War; pay homage to our nation's servicemen and women during a wreath laying ceremony, and hear Vietnam veteran John Campbell, of Glassboro, New Jersey, speak about his experiences in the United States.

Media held their 50th annual Veteran's Day Parade on Wednesday, featuring 10 marching bands, student groups, military vehicles and fire companies.

This will be the first Media Veteran's parade in 20 years that didn't feature the beloved Harry Kalas.
