David, good to see your cutting back on drinking! Keep it up :)
I myself love to work out; it helps to release all my stress's of the day. But now that winter is approaching its getting dark and cold after work. I tried using evening meditation to relax and it does work, BUT isn't as effective as running 3.5 miles a day. So I use this to supplement my workouts about 2 nights during the week and I just make up for it on the weekends.
Certainly a good alternative but nothing beats a good run.

I used to come home and have a beer(s) to unwind, since the doctor told me I should cut back on my consumption I have tried to unwind using other methods. This one has particularly worked pretty well for me. It doesn't curb my cravings but it sure does relax me!!
